Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a "Restaurant Host/Cashier-Buffet" for the All-NewJ Resort. The J Resort is a full-service hotel-casino with over 500 rooms and wide variety of Slots and Table Games. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Inspect all menus to ensure their condition and cleanliness
  • Seat guests in a courteous and friendly manner and ensure any specials needs have been taken care of
  • Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectations
  • Maintain all workspaces and materials at a high level of cleanliness
  • Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting
  • Assign servers to sections, confirm, and manage reservations, and assign guests to tables while communicating with Servers and Managers
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, including ingredients and preparation
  • Assisting customers with questions regarding activities within the casino for that day
  • Maintain a clean work area, profession appearance and present positive customer service techniques
  • Perform all opening, side work, and closing duties
  • Answers phone inquiries and takes down messages for customers as necessary.
  • Ensures proper seating rotation
  • Continuously monitor dining room to make sure it is properly maintained, and floor is free of debris
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
  • Identification that establishes identity
  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
