ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to company and departmental policies and procedures.
To assist the bartender(s) and cocktail staff in performance of their duties
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bar on a daily basis including before, during and after shift.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times during shift including: removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, picking up and dumping garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing equipment
Maintain and organized bar
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items and hotel services.
Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner. Ability to interact with the public and provide excellent customer service. Ability to have and make conversation
Know guidelines for serving alcohol with care.
Knowing and conveying hotel activities to guests
Perform specific tasks related to bars as assigned: organizing, ordering, stocking and cleaning
Ability to lift and carrying product by hand as well as with carts or hand trucks
Maintain and organize bars and storerooms
Refill chemicals such as hand soap or glass washer chemicals
Ability to operate a glassware washing machine
Ability to re-fill ice bins and beer bins, utilizing ice machines
Knowledge of product
Ability to operate a glassware washer
Answering phones
Maintain proper inventory of product
Maintain and neat, professional image and appearance at all times
All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of beverage product and bartender training preferred
Rotation of product
Product knowledge
Sanitizing and cleaning of equipment
Bar Helper must have the analytical skills to keep bar properly stocked at all times. Analytical skills are also necessary for proper time management. Ability to anticipate business fluctuating business levels.

May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
