Black Eagle is a consulting firm offering professional services in the western United States in the fields of construction materials engineering and testing, nondestructive testing and welding inspection.

We have an immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced ICC Special Inspector with QC and PM background in both of our Carson City and Reno NV offices. The ideal candidate will have experience performing construction testing and inspection of soil, concrete, masonry, structural steel and/or spray-applied fireproofing, and managing projects.

Essential Functions

• On site observations/inspections to confirm compliance with local building codes and project contract documents.
• Collecting samples.
• Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components per ASTM, ACI, NAQTC etc. standards.
• Compiling detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results.

Work is generally performed unsupervised (i.e., the employee is in the field as the Company's representative) but under the direction of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standards related to the construction and inspection of reinforced concrete and masonry structures.
• Be able to read and understand structural blueprints and current code requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred but not required.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to lift and carry 30 to 50+ pounds.
