The Position
Game Wardens protect the wildlife and fisheries resources of the State and the public by enforcing wildlife, boating and natural resource laws and by providing education in areas such as wildlife management, and hunter, boating and firearms safety.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
Incumbent serves as first-line supervisor for Nevada State Game Wardens in the Western Region. The incumbent ensures officers are properly trained, and supervises and evaluates performance of assigned officers; assigns and reviews work; and initiates disciplinary action.
