**Position** **Purpose:**
The Institutional Relationship Manager will be responsible for conducting 529 education savings seminars and outreach to Nevada (Reno) community groups, nonprofits, local organizations, employers and other entities as identified on behalf of FuturePath 529 Plan.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
Presentations to Prospective Participants
Conduct workshops and deliver presentations on the FuturePath 529 Plan to a variety of audiences with varying income levels, lifestyles, and backgrounds.
Attend benefit fairs and events, maintain information booths and distribute information
Source and develop leads with employers, community groups and local organizations
**Develop Client Relationships**
Develop relationships with key elected officials
Develop relationships with proponents of financial literacy in the community,
specifically, the Washoe County and Reno, NV. urban cores
Assist the Director and RM in the relationship with Plan Sponsor where applicable
Represent Ascensus College Savings and the FuturePath 529 Plan in the community to
the highest standard
**Promotion of Payroll Direct Deposit with Employers**
Present to and meet with employers to explain and promote the benefits of payroll
deduction
Source and develop leads with HR/payroll/key benefit decision makers
Coordinate with Client Services for implementation of service
**Project Work**
Work with Marketing to develop communication/marketing materials
Determine what events to attend and activities to engage in to maintain an active calendar within annual budget limits
Track and report on events, activities and key relationships
**Work with State Treasurers Office**
Work closely with the Treasurers office and communicate regularly
Attend quarterly Board of Directors meetings and report on activity
Attend bi-weekly status calls with Treasurers Office and Ascensus team
**Industry Expert**
Develop a strong working knowledge of 529 plan rules and guidelines
Stay abreast of changes to applicable laws and rules
Maintain Series 6 or 7 and 63 or 66 licenses

**Minimum Requirements:**
The position will be home-based, in the Reno, NV metropolitan area; however, occasional evening, weekend and overnight travel throughout the State is required.
Bachelors degree
2-4 years financial services experience in sales, marketing or client service phone support
Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills
Proven experience presenting to large groups of people
Professional training experience
Sales or client management experience
529 industry experience
Ability to work independently; primary worksite is home based and travel throughout the State of Nevada is required
Willing to work some nights and weekends
Willing to travel overnight as required (average twice a month, 1-2 nights per visit)
Current Series 6 or 7 and 63 or 66 licenses preferred
Proficient in all MS Office applications
