Job Overview

To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, CATL, through its U.S.-based subsidiary, CATK, is seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Process Quality Engineers to oversee the quality management and control of our production line processes. This role involves implementing quality assurance activities and executing the assigned quality assurance tasks.

Job Description

  • Be responsible for production quality management and issues resolution.
  • Ensure all quality-related activities are performed effectively and in compliance with company standards and requirements such as PPAP release, Line Release, production line buyoff, product tear down management, quality standard creation and etc.
  • Monitor and manage quality system activities including SPC (Statistical Process Control), FAI (First Article Inspection), MES (Manufacturing Execution System), Quality information system, error proofing, rework, and equipment qualification and etc.
  • Support various process audits, including process audits and LPA (Layered Process Audit) audits, ISO9001 Audit, audit issues follow up with cross function teams.
  • Conduct quality risk identification and initiate quality improvement activities.
  • Manage changes in the production process and ensure effective implementation of process response plans.
  • Provide training and support to enhance the PQE technicians' overall competency.




Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or science, chemical engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in production quality control or quality assurance, particularly in the vehicle manufacturing industry or battery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the basic principles of battery operations.
  • Familiarity with the basic characteristics of communication faults and mechanical structure failure.
  • Proficiency in product failure analysis methods.
  • Proficient in using quality analysis and improvement tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), 8D (8 Disciplines Problem Solving), Six Sigma, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Strong data analysis and processing abilities.
  • Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position.
  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill level
