Lead Accounts Payable Clerk


JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the following)
  1. Analyze supplier payment issues. Provide timely research and resolution.
  2. Perform root cause analysis on payment issues to solve long term process gaps.
  3. Liaison with corporate and divisional counterparts on all AP matters.
  4. Coordinate all audit requests.
  5. Provide analytical support on key metrics to drive process improvement.
  6. Perform independent self-audits on the accuracy and thoroughness of AP processes.
  7. Review sensitive documents for supplier information and setup.
  8. Assist manager and supervisor with research of issues and provide resolution of issues.
  9. Work with management on special projects and analysis as needed.
  10. Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
  11. Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
  12. Exemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and vision.

  14. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Gaming and/or hospitality experience a plus.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  4. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.
  5. High School diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position)
  1. Frequent standing/walking/sitting for extended periods.
  2. Work area is indoors and subject to variable temperatures.
  3. May be subject to smoking environment, moderate noise and bright lights.

GUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech - both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
