Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor to join their Patent Prosecution & Litigation team, specializing in Electrical Engineering & Software. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in wireless communications and a strong understanding of patent law. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while applying analytical and problem-solving skills to support patent prosecution and litigation efforts.

Duties:

  • Provide technical support in patent prosecution and litigation matters, particularly in Electrical Engineering and Software.
  • Assist with patentability assessments, drafting patent applications, and conducting prior art searches.
  • Analyze and interpret complex technical documents, including patents, specifications, and technical literature.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop strategies for patent filings and defenses.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, especially in wireless communication, 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards.
  • Support the preparation and management of litigation materials, such as claim charts and expert reports.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in wireless communications, especially 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to analyze and explain complex scientific concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of wireless communication technologies, including 5G and 6G.
  • Expertise in patent law and technical documentation.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and apply them legally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
