Description
PCI is seeking a Branch Safety Engineer for its PCI Reno 568 operations based in Sparks, NV. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Promote safety, safe work practices, and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all branch and field personnel.
- Assist the branch with implementing and administering PCG and client accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that the company and client safety reports, statistics, and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
- Provide safety technical expertise and support to the branch.
- Provide safety resources, including employee training.
- Assist in the investigation of work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents.
- Enforce corrective action to prevent the recurrence of hazardous conditions or behaviors.
- Practice timely and accurate accident reporting.
- Review all accidents and investigation reports.
- Act as liaison between the company and client as it relates to site safety management.
- Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.
- Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
- Provide safety resources for workers.
- Identify, anticipate, and evaluate potential safety and health hazards.
- Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
- Establish branch and project safety goals.
- Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Able to work with customers, building strong relationships
- OSHA 10/30 certification construction
- OSHA 500/510 is a plus
- CHST or other BCSP credentials are a plus

Safety
- Work in a safe and responsible manner to avoid intentionally or unintentionally injuring oneself or endangering the well-being of others.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required, such as hard hat, gloves, safety vest, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
- Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, and report unsafe conditions.
