Your Future Role:

A landscape construction teammate works on a team that creates new and renovates existing landscapes. This is a physically active role that allows you to work outside year round. This position works on both commercial and residential landscape projects typically on a team of 3 to 6 people. A landscape construction teammate assists the construction team by installing the best-suited plant material for the high desert, the most water efficient irrigation systems, structurally sound and beautiful hardscapes, natural water features, long lasting and realistic artificial turf and inviting landscape lighting. The landscape construction teammate works with the foreman and other teammates on his crew each day as they create new outdoor environments. This position is responsible for completing most activities on the job from demolition to final walk through while serving the customer from start to finish.

Your Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies
• Works with landscape designer, project manager and foreman to develop the construction plan
• Installs irrigation systems (backflow devices, irrigation controllers, valves, sprinklers, drip tubing, etc.)
• Digs holes and trenches
• Moves rocks, boulders and other large items
• Installs concrete pavers, concrete curbing, retaining walls and landscape accent features
• Plants trees, shrubs, perennials and grass
• Installs drainage systems that move water away from structures
• Installs low voltage landscape lighting
• Operates equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, backhoes, vibratory plates, trenchers and more
• Ensures equipment & vehicles are working properly
• Ensures quality of completed work meets Moana Nursery standards
• Communicates with other teammates and foreman daily
• Provides outstanding customer service
• Leaves our customers with finished projects that will succeed

Physical Requirements & Activity:

• This position works outside 12 months a year in all conditions
• Applicant must be able to lift 100 lbs
• Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Applicant must be able to work on their knees.

Expertise & Experience Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old

Nice To Have Skills or Experiences:

• Valid NV Driver's License (we pay more if you can drive)
• Landscape Experience qualifies for higher pay
• OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification
• Bilingual in English & Spanish
• I.C.P.I. Certification
• Q.W.E.L Certification
• Certified Landscape Technician

Your Future Work Schedule:

Our landscape teams typically work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30 with occasional overtime and weekend work.

Your Future Salary & Benefits:
The starting rate for this position is $21.00 per hour and increases based on experience, expertise and responsibilities. Other benefits for this role include:
