Step into a lead role within IGT's Vibe game studio, located in Reno NV, as an Animator IV. Your creativity and vision will shape our newest games and foster a culture of innovation. In this senior role, you'll guide animation projects from concept to completion, set visual tones for titles, and mentor junior animators. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams—Producers, Engineers, TAs, and Art peers—to push the boundaries of gaming. Your contributions will be vital in pioneering the future of gaming, ensuring animations enhance player experience and leave a lasting impression.

• Create and lead complex animations and visual effects, bringing objects, worlds, and characters to life with advanced artistic and technical expertise in EGM development, both in real time and pre-rendered.
• Drive and collaborate on the creative vision for animations across multiple EGM game projects, setting quality and style standards.
• Develop storyboards, animatics, and plan game event flows to maximize player excitement.
• Create studio demo reels and promotional content for our games.
• Work with cross-functional teams on animation strategies and artistic decisions, contributing to creative direction and final assets.
• Develop specialized animation techniques for complex game mechanics, including bonuses, jackpots, and attract effects.
• Mentor and coach less experienced animators, guiding skill refinement and industry tool mastery.
• Review animation assets for performance and visual standards before game engine integration.
• Playtest games to provide feedback on animations, ensuring they are exciting, engaging, and celebratory.
• Innovate by developing new techniques, workflows, and visual effects to enhance gaming experiences.
• Ensure animations align with the intended tone, atmosphere, and aesthetic of the game.
• Partner with Producers, TAs, and artists to conceptualize sequences and improve storytelling and player interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields, or equivalent experience.
• 15 years of professional animation experience, with at least 12 in game development roles.
• Proven leadership in animation projects or teams within the gaming industry, especially for EGMs or real-time experiences.
• A reel demonstrating storytelling, choreography, timing, and principles of animation across various assets.
• Expertise in 2D and 3D animation software (After Effects, Spine, Maya, Blender) with leadership in animation or VFX projects.
• Experience with Unity and real-time animations.
• Strong understanding of EGM-specific animation elements like reel spins, transitions, and jackpot effects.
• Familiarity with slot game animation pipelines and asset integration into proprietary engines.
• Attention to detail in animation principles, movement, composition, and timing, especially in fast-paced environments.
