Preferred qualifications:

  1. Certification in Safety Professionals or related EHS certifications.
  2. 10 years of experience in EHS management.
  3. 5 years of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  4. Knowledge of project management processes and basic construction agreement structures.
  5. Experience working in operational data centers focusing on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

About the role:

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish, coordinating stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate effectively across teams and time zones. Your projects will span multiple offices and regions, requiring excellent coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy EHS programs across a defined area.
  • Collaborate with Data Center partners, contractors, trades, and other organizations to enhance EHS performance.
  • Conduct pre-qualification evaluations of vendors and communicate EHS expectations.
  • Plan, mitigate risks, and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics, develop best practices, and report progress to stakeholders.

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary specifics depend on location, skills, experience, and education. Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of the EHS program for construction areas and oversee data collection.
  • Ensure contractors meet safety performance and agreement expectations, providing solutions when issues arise.
  • Support construction teams to protect personnel and the environment, ensuring compliance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning aligned with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with the Construction EHS team to implement best practices, monitor trends, analyze data, and mitigate risks to maintain operational capacity of live Data Centers.
