Description:

FUNCTION:

Supervise and assist slot team members during their assigned shift. Monitor coverage on the floor, ensuring guest service levels are maintained, and proactively resolve any guest issues that arise. Assist in slot machine payouts, credits, and promoting the players club.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in the supervision of slot operations for assigned shift.
  2. Promote exceptional guest service and development, assisting current players club members with their credit play, and introducing new guests to the players club.
  3. Actively initiate proactive interactions with players to create and maintain guest relationships, learn, and use the guests name often.
  4. Maintain highly trained and motivated team members; administer and adhere to all gaming rules and regulations; investigate variances, bill validator and ticket in/ticket out claims; approve and witness jackpot pay outs.
  5. Patrols assigned section assisting patrons when requested.
  6. Performs minor repairs on slot machines such as coin jams and replacing TITO ticket paper.
  7. Ensure kiosks are always stocked with currency sufficient enough to pay out TITO tickets.
  8. Assists in making change buys when necessary.
  9. Assists patrons in making change via currency wallet.
  10. Monitors the activities on the floor and notifies supervisor of suspicious activity.
  11. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  12. Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate.
  13. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  14. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  15. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  16. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  17. Regular predictable attendance is required.
  18. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Slot Shift Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years slot supervisor experience required.

Advanced knowledge of all technical aspects of the slot department required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time.

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation.

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Nevada Employee Gaming Registration required.

Alcohol Awareness Certification required.
