Bachelors: $57,823 - $69,388

Masters: $60,634 - $72,761

Masters + 30: $63,444 - $76,133

Then this Tenure-Track Architecture Faculty position at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is for you!

Minimum/Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor of Architecture Degree from a regionally and NAAB accredited institution and 3 years of full-time practice experience in a professional architectural workplace OR 6 years of experience in architecture/ landscape architecture.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters of Architecture degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• A Masters degree is required to teach 300 and 400 level courses.
• Prior experience teaching at the college level or in adult education programs.
  
  

Job Responsibilities/Duties

Academic Responsibilities

Candidates must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a

diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.

Teaching and workload assignments are scheduled throughout the calendar year, and may require evening and weekend obligations at one or more college locations.

Teach 30 (15/15) credit or contact hours during the academic year, August through May, in various modalities as assigned, including in-person, hybrid, online, live-virtual (hy-flex), and at high-school sites (Jump-Start dual credit), per the needs of the program.

Demonstrate awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion issues. Maintain sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, as well as disabilities, of students, faculty, and staff.

Assist with the NAAB accreditation process by providing input and actively participating in
