Job Title: Locum Physician Assistant Profession: PA Specialty: CATS Duration: Long-term Shift: 7-4 Hours per Shift: 9 Experience: 2 years in CT and Vein Harvesting License: Active NV State License or ability to obtain a license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PA or APRN Must-Have: - Experience in vein harvesting (endoscopic or open) - Ability to work in a surgical and clinic environment - Clean record for credentialing Description: Need a locum for coverage for an APRN/PA for vein harvesting as first assist for CT Surgery. This will be a two weeks on, two weeks off position. The role involves mostly surgery/call with some clinic responsibilities. The schedule is from 7 AM to 4 PM onsite, followed by on-call duties. The clinic will have a patient census of 2-6 patients, while call depends on hospital census with an average of 4-6 patients. Candidates must have at least two years of experience and the ability to cover specified dates. Temporary privileges will be requested, but a clean record is essential. Candidates must possess the required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PA or APRN. Experience in vein harvesting is necessary, specifically with endoscopic techniques. Equipment provided for harvesting in the OR includes the Maquet (Getinge) Vasoview Hemopro. The team will consist of one cardiovascular surgeon and other support staff for CT cases, which include CABG and valve repair/replacement. Candidates will undergo a virtual interview process with the camera on. This position supports a trauma level II facility and utilizes EPIC EMR. The reason for coverage is due to staff leaving. This position will require candidates to enter their hours in the specified platform. Candidates must be vaccinated for flu and COVID-19 or provide medical or religious exemptions.
