ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintain all building/tower grounds systems and equipment, including repairs of the following: electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, pneumatic, hydraulic, equipment and appliances.
Maintain stock and inventory materials.
Maintain and repair all equipment associated with engineering shop.
Observe performance of Engineers and encourage improvement.
Monitor work load of and adjust work assignment of engineer team accordingly.
Estimate material and time for projects.
Inform management staff of problems requiring maintenance and report any equipment deficiencies.
Assign/distribute keys, radio and job assignments daily, coordinate work plan and apply standard maintenance practices.
Respond to accident scenes, emergency calls (fire, smoke, etc.)
Communicate with, and support engineering staff as needed throughout shift.
Maintain daily record of work requests, preventative maintenance work requests via smart phone/device using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) HotSoS.
Represent Engineering Department when Management Staff is not on site.
Evaluate shift progress and immediate tasks that need to be passed onto oncoming shift.
Communicate with other shifts to ensure any follow-up on on-going projects in order to minimize down time.
Document all notable shift specifics in Shift Lead Report.
Assign and instruct engineers in details of work.
Act as a role model for other Engineers, make decisions and take action based on previous experience and good judgment, and when needed, revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations, and heavy work load activity.
Proficient using a computer and smart phone type device.
Effectively communicate with coworkers, members of the department leadership, and other departments.
Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have 5 years' experience as building maintenance engineer in a hotel/casino/resort or equivalent industry or commercial building maintenance that includes the following but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, pneumatic, hydraulic, appliances, public pools, pumps, fans, BMS controls, metal framing, drywall, drop ceilings, cement forming, painting, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Minimum 2 years' experience as Lead Engineer, Property Operations Supervisor, or acting lead capacity/equivalent is required.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain valid driver's license and meet GSR driving requirements.
Contractors', EPA, and/or CPO license is preferred.
Electricians' license is required if performing tasks in this area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, and occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to frequently lift/carry and push/pull up to 50lbs or less. Team member must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 100lbs or less.
Dependent on the shift the team member will be occasionally driving.
The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both feet, frequently have repetitive use of both hands and require frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment, mechanical devices, flame/heat generated devices, and other electrical devices.
Team member may have to work in confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions as well as around solvents/oils, dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, and slippery surfaces.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud at times and possible exposure to vibrations.
Team Member may be exposed to fumes/odor and/or secondhand smoke.
