As a Production Planner I, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by developing and managing detailed work instructions that guide the production process. You will collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to translate engineering designs into executable instructions within our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role is essential for maintaining production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Create and maintain detailed Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM) for process plans and manufacturing orders, ensuring logical sequencing.
Implement manufacturing part numbers from the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, aligning with design and production requirements.
Update routings in the ERP system to reflect efficient and cost-effective production processes.
Generate detailed process plans and work instructions in the MES to guide production activities.
Handle production scheduling, work center scheduling, and manage in-process manufacturing orders
Collaborate with program management, design engineers, quality, and production teams to develop efficient and high-quality production methods.
Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve products to meet customer needs and market demands.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including MBOMs, process plans, work instructions, and schedule changes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 0-2 years of relevant experience
A higher level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Relevant experience must be in a similar role or technical position such as structural or electrical/avionics technician or quality control inspector
Experience in performing or interpreting installations using engineering drawings, schematics, and/or technical documentation
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and interpretation or creation of work instructions
Exposure to engineering design change control processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Program Management
Technical/Engineering degree
Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as it applies to Supplier Management
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Familiarity in applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
Knowledge of industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes
Familiarity with work instruction/traveler development
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
Participation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB)
Experience with new product introduction and transition to production
Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
Experience with creating work instructions within a Manufacturing Execution System
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
