Job Description
We're hiring a highly organized, experienced paralegal to handle formal written outreach to government agencies, track deadlines, and coordinate responses. You'll be expected to own your workflow, hit internal deadlines, and identify patterns across jurisdictions.
You'll be responsible for initiating structured communication with agencies across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring requests are legally sound, deadlines are tracked, and responses are reviewed for accuracy and completeness. This work directly supports an ongoing legal and investigative operation where clarity, follow-through, and timing are critical.
This role involves written communication and formal information requests submitted to various government departments under applicable legal procedures.
What You'll Be Doing
Draft formal written communications to government departments and agencies
Research statutes, timelines, and procedures to craft accurate and compliant requests
Maintain a detailed tracker of outgoing submissions, deadlines, and response status
Review incoming responses for legal adequacy, document completeness, or red flags
Escalate unresolved or delayed responses using structured language and procedural follow-up
Coordinate with phone-based agents and internal teams to maintain forward progress
Requirements
Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training required
Strong legal writing skills, with ability to adjust tone for different agencies
Experience interpreting timelines, disclosure procedures, or administrative codes
Organized and precise — especially with naming conventions, logs, and date tracking
Proficient with spreadsheets, Google Docs, and digital systems
Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and jurisdictions simultaneously
Bonus Points For
Background in litigation support, compliance, or investigative legal work
Experience dealing with government entities, legal intake, or multi-agency communication
Familiarity with statutory deadlines or administrative escalation strategies
Able to operate independently with minimal supervision
