Job Summary: Create, improve, and protect the environment by planning, designing, and overseeing construction of structures and infrastructure such as roads, airports, dams, irrigation projects, and water and sewer systems. This role emphasizes water supply, distribution, sanitary sewer collection and treatment, and storm drainage systems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher from an EAC/ABET accredited university in a related field Valid driver's license At least 2 years of civil engineering experience At least 2 years of public works experience Nevada Professional Engineer or EIT certification Experience with AutoCAD Job Duties: Adhere to the Mission Statement and Core Values Work under the guidance of the Executive Vice President Nurture client relationships and pursue business growth Design hydraulic systems and structures using various software Analyze survey reports, maps, and geological data Inspect project sites for progress, safety, and compliance Plan and conduct field surveys Design water, wastewater, stormwater, and utility systems Assist Public Works Department with design tasks Identify engineering problems and assess project impacts Read and review blueprints and specifications Draft detailed drawings and layouts Prepare reports and document project activities Evaluate site factors and design maps and diagrams Inspect contractor work and ensure compliance Collaborate and mentor team members Communicate effectively with stakeholders Write technical reports and proposals Attend industry meetings as needed Follow safety and company policies Complete vehicle inspections when using company vehicles Maintain a clean workspace and perform other duties as assigned Physical Demands: Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, repetitive typing, visual acuity, and physical activities such as climbing, lifting, and walking.
