Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search firm recruiting for a Surgery Center's Physician Practice Director in Reno, Nevada. The Physician Practice Director leads the Surgery Group's Administrative Team as the recognized leader in understanding and interpreting standards for physician practice administration. The position reports to an experienced CEO and serves 20-30 physicians in surgery practice and general medicine. This surgery center is the largest of its kind in Northern Nevada and recruits top surgeons from Stanford, Harvard, and other notable ivy league universities.

The existing surgery center is moving to a new location in South Reno in Q4 2025. The current work location/surgery center is in downtown Reno and affiliated with Renown Hospital. The new facility will consist of three operating rooms and physician offices for follow up post-operative care. This is an excellent career opportunity replacing a tenured, retiring Physician Practice Director and requires an entrepreneurial spirit in the start-up of the brand new facility.

The Physician Practice Director is responsible for the front and back office Administration of the practice to include patient check-in, medical billing, credentialling, insurance contracting, accounting and finance operations, revenue cycle, P&L management, budgeting, compliance and regulatory, HIPAA and electronic medical records (EMR), staff/personnel management, staffing and training and improving SOP's. This Director role Partners with the Director of Nursing who oversees the clinical aspects and management of the surgery center.

Position requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field is required; MBA preferred
• 8+ years of Physician Practice Management experience of large physician groups.
• Experience in surgery or ambulatory services is preferred.
• Skills in management of budgets, P&L, accounting/finance to include payroll, medical billing, credentialling, insurance contracting are required.
• A history of demonstrated and effective leadership and management skills of large teams is required.
• Proficiency in medical systems and technology to also include MS Office Suite. EMR, EHR, HRIS systems as well.
• Must be fast-paced, efficient, detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.
