Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and career-driven Civil or Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is actively pursuing their Professional Engineer (PE) license and looking to gain hands-on experience in both field and office environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, initiative, and a passion for continuous learning and professional development.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced licensed engineers, gain mentorship, and participate in a wide range of engineering projects that contribute directly to your path toward PE licensure.

Responsibilities:

• Support fieldwork including soil sampling, drilling, and site investigations
• Assist in geotechnical analyses and engineering calculations under the guidance of senior engineers
• Prepare technical reports with recommendations on foundations, slope stability, and soil improvements
• Interpret geotechnical laboratory test results and assist with quality assurance
• Aid in the development of design documents, specifications, and cost estimates
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource management
• Maintain communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables
• Stay current with industry standards, codes, and technologies relevant to your discipline
• Commit to progressing toward PE licensure through hands-on work and ongoing education

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geologic Engineering, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong desire and active intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in technical writing and documentation
• Willingness to travel for site investigations and field assignments
• Familiarity with geotechnical software is a plus
