The Grand Sierra is looking for energetic and customer service minded individuals to join the Food and Beverage team as a Baker. Under the guidance of the Executive Chef, the Baker prepares all baked goods and pastry items needed for the Grand Sierra Resort. Assist Pastry Chef in training and Bakers Helper. Insure quality of all baked goods and pastries that are assigned to that position. Guarantee prompt, courteous and team minded service throughout the entire department and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare, bake and finish cakes, pies, French pastry, cream tarts and other dessert/baked items according to standard recipe. Prepare dessert and baked goods for restaurants and banquets as per production sheets; prepare requisition for items for storeroom and pastry/bakery chef approval.
