Schedule: Part Time/Temporary
Location: Reno, NV
Salary: $15.50 Hr.
Summary: This is a position that requires a lifeguard certification. Employees will be working at one of the four City of Reno aquatics facilities performing monitoring and lifesaving duties.
Minimum/Preferred Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Age: 15
Certifications: Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Water Safety Instructor
Work Schedule:
Less than 233 hours per quarter and may be year round
Or
233 hours or more in a quarter with a maximum of six months employment
Or
Not to exceed 1,039 work hours within any fiscal year
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Working Conditions:
Conveys and exchanges verbal and written information.
Walking, standing, sitting and performing swimming rescues.
Walking on various surfaces including uneven ground that may be slippery.
Work may be performed outdoors in a variety of weather extremes.
Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights.
May work evenings, weekends and holidays.
