About the Organization
Liberty Dogs is a premier service dog training program whose goal is to empower Veterans with disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives - enhancing their well-being through the unconditional support that Liberty Service Dogs provides. Located on a 27-acre campus, it includes a training facility, dog housing, an administrative and multipurpose building, and accommodations for Veterans staying on campus to train with their Liberty Service Dogs.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Associate is a full-time, 40-hour per week, position that will play an intricate role in the Facilities and Maintenance team. This role will ensure that areas are stocked appropriately, and that the buildings are well-maintained and clean. This role requires a detail-oriented person.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect the assigned buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure the campus meets organizational and cleanliness standards
Assist in maintenance of the assigned buildings, grounds and equipment.
Ensure supplies throughout the campus are well stocked and inventory levels are maintained. Close communication with the purchasing staff for ordering items that fall below par levels.
Collect building trash, recycle and waste from assigned buildings and take them to the campus collection center
Snow removal when necessary
Maintain data records
Position Requirements, Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of previous work experience in facilities and / or maintenance.
Experience in a maintenance and inventory management software program, such as MaintainX and Sage Intacct.
The role is a fast-paced and physically active role that will require lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing walking and climbing ladders.
Responsibilities include indoor and outdoor work during all months throughout the year.
Work on ladders and confined spaces will be necessary.
Regular use of hand tools such as shovels, brooms, mops and more. The use of power tools such as pressure washers, saws, and drills will be required.
This role requires the ability to prioritize workflows, has strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in administrative support or facility management.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Candidates must successfully pass a background check, possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
