Assistant Project Manager - Commercial & Multifamily Construction
Location: Reno, NV

We're seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our team in Reno. This role is a key stepping stone into project leadership, providing the opportunity to work alongside senior project managers on large-scale commercial and multifamily construction projects. The APM will gain hands-on experience in project administration, coordination, and client interaction while supporting the successful delivery of complex builds.

Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and overseeing daily project activities.
  • Assist with project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
  • Track budgets, cost reports, and payment applications to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Coordinate communication among owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Help manage subcontractor schedules, materials procurement, and on-site activities to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor safety compliance and quality standards in collaboration with field teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
  • Learn and apply company systems, project delivery methods, and best practices to prepare for a future Project Manager role.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, ideally with a general contractor on commercial or multifamily projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
