Facilities Manager

As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses onall aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

You will work remotely in the healthcare sector in Middletown, NY. You will require 50% travel to PA, NJ, NY, Mass, and TN. You will coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors. You will maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues. You will prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports. You will perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. You will suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities. You will manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities. You will oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. You will review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. You will conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices. You will lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. You will influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. You will apply knowledge of your own discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. You will identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

You will need a Project Management background and a strong maintenance background as well as soft skills (managing janitorial, landscaping and cleaning and cafeteria). A Bachelor's Degree is preferred with 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. A valid driver's license is required. Facility Management certification is preferred. Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. You will need the ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department are required. Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset are required. Advanced math skills are required. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations is required.

The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $100,000 annually [or $48.08 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $110,000 annually [or $52.88 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
