Description
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD/CAM Programmer to join our new CNC machining team. In this role, you will use Autodesk Fusion and AI-assisted tools to help streamline how we program parts. Your work will focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) checks, tool path strategies, and tabbing strategies for both 3+2 and 5-axis machining operations. You will work closely with our team to improve processes, apply best practices, and help build out a modern and efficient workflow.
Introduction to the CAD/CAM Programmer Role
At SendCutSend, we are focused on making custom parts accessible to everyone, from individual makers to large corporations. We have built our business by combining modern technology with simple, reliable processes that work at scale.
As we expand our CNC machining capabilities, we're looking for talented individuals who are genuinely interested in how things are made and want to be a part of a hands-on, evolving team. We're not just seeking experienced machinists; we're looking for skilled CAD/CAM programmers who are proficient in Autodesk Fusion and eager to learn the intricacies of CNC machining. Our approach is to start with a strong foundation in CAD/CAM programming and then build on that with training in tooling, feeds, and speeds. This helps us grow a team that is technically strong, open to new ideas, and not limited by traditional methods.
We are building a team that is not just skilled, but also curious and open to doing things differently. That means using powerful tools like AI-assisted programming and advanced 5-axis milling and turning equipment, while also shaping the processes behind them. If you are a Fusion user who is ready to take your skills further and contribute to what we call the SendCutSend way, a practical approach to modern manufacturing, we would love to hear from you.
