Job Details

Responsible for loading, unloading and operating the washers and dryers. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:Sorts soiled linens properly to prepare them for washing. Weighs linen to assure proper weight for specific machines. Manually loads/unloads washers-extractors with linens. Operates washing machines with correct formulas to assure safe and efficient use. Moves, hangs and removes 100 pound laundry bags on the six foot high monorail systems. Manually loads/unloads tumbler equipment. Operates tumbler equipment with appropriate temperature and drying cycle settings. Performs a ph-balance test on every completed wash load. Pushes 3 foot high cart filled with wet linen to the folding machine. Logs every load of wash on washing clipboard. Weighs correct amount of chemicals to be added to the wash load.
