Position Overview:
The HVAC - Foreman leads HVAC installation and service crews on industrial and commercial projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with specifications and industry standards. This position plays a key leadership role, coordinating manpower, materials, and schedules while maintaining quality and safety performance on every job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Leadership: Supervise HVAC Journeymen and Apprentices, assigning daily tasks and ensuring proper work sequencing.
- Project Coordination: Plan and schedule installation activities, coordinating with other trades and project management.
- Safety Oversight: Enforce company safety policies, lead toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Review work for accuracy, code compliance, and adherence to specifications.
- Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot system performance issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Documentation: Maintain project logs, daily reports, and material requisitions.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum of six (6) years of HVAC installation or service experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
- Valid Nevada HVAC or Mechanical License.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical systems, blueprints, and HVAC codes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and crew performance.
Preferred Experience:- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal).
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent.
- Experience managing HVAC work in industrial facilities or EPC environments.
Work Environment:This role is primarily field-based, overseeing work on active construction or maintenance projects. May involve exposure to confined spaces, temperature fluctuations, and elevated work areas. Must be able to perform physical tasks as required.
Reporting Structure:Reports to the Project Superintendent or Project Manager. Directly supervises HVAC Journeymen and Apprentices.
Compensation & Benefits:Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and project scope, in accordance with Nevada law.
