The Director of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) provides strategic leadership and oversight for the implementation and execution. The role ensures the highest standards of patient safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

The Director leads the HTM team, develops customized service delivery plans, manages vendors and contracts, oversees medical equipment lifecycle management, and drives alignment with corporate goals and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) program and its services.
  • Define and execute strategic objectives through short- and long-term goal setting, technology assessment, and planning.
  • Oversee medical device integration, operations, risk management, and security for all facility medical technology.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and equipment procurement in line with UHS standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety requirements related to healthcare technology.
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for HTM operations.
  • Create and sustain a culture of excellence, motivating and mentoring HTM team members.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to enhance patient safety and experience through effective technology management.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Technical School Certification or Associate's Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • Experience: 5–8 years of related experience in healthcare technology management, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment systems, operations, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance, vendor management, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management, or related field.
  • Experience in a large hospital or healthcare system environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HTM programs across multiple facilities.
