Job Title
Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Product Engineer II who appreciates attention to detail, a versatile environment, and a broad list of product design projects. Typical responsibilities include product design, fabrication, dyno testing, SolidWorks 3D modeling, and 2D drafting. Projects may involve designing an air intake system, developing an oil cooler kit, dyno testing an intercooler, or fabricating an oil catch can bracket for various vehicles (e.g., BMW, Miata). You will report to the Product Engineering Manager.

What Youll Do
  • Design and prototype new aftermarket automotive parts using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Perform product testing and validation (performance, durability, fitment).
  • Participate in design reviews and the engineering change process.
  • Create detailed engineering reports describing test procedures and results for internal and external customers.
  • Contribute to consumer marketing content for removal and installation of automotive components and systems.
  • Participate in supplier evaluations, quality inspection, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to continuously improve engineering and design processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your Credentials
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university, or related degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in OEM/auto manufacturing, heat exchange, engine cooling, or air intake development.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, 3D scanning, 3D printing and applying them to the design process.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and 2D drawing creation.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive components and systems.
  • Proficiency in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
  • Experience applying manufacturing and quality control processes, material selection, and assembly methods.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicles and sheet metal fabrication tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with SolidWorks FEA and CFD analysis; electromechanical design experience building custom machinery or test rigs is a plus.
  • Passion for auto products and the industry is a bonus.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
  • On-site at Mishimotos Garnet Valley, PA facility.

  • Comfort with appearing on camera for product marketing content (less than 5%).
  • Lift up to 50 lb; stand and work on vehicles for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Garage and machine shop environment; maintain safety and cleanliness.
