Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply utilities blueprints to the electrical scope.
- Follow all live‑work policies and procedures.
- Apply NEC requirements for all installations, including special systems and occupancy.
- Read UBC, NFPA‑72, NFPA‑70E, construction safety orders, and all applicable code requirements.
- Investigate or assist in the investigation and reporting of near misses, incidents, and injuries involving jobsite employees.
- Supervise, direct, monitor, train, and work alongside an Electrician Trainee or Apprentice to ensure safe and timely completion of assignments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in trade materials, components, equipment, systems, safety procedures, and basic calculations.
- Operate hand and power tools as required for trade assignments.
- Communicate technical information with peers, assistants, project supervisors, and other trades.
- Interpret architectural, civil, structural, and plumbing blueprints as applied to the electrical scope.
- Complete multi‑task assignments with verbal and written instructions, field sketches, schematics, one‑line diagrams, and blueprint reference.
- Generate complete tools and materials lists for assigned tasks.
- Perform assignment lay‑outs, preparation for installation, and instruct employees on correct tool operation and safety practices.
- Provide input on employee evaluations and demonstrate a positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in a state‑approved electrician trainee program and active coursework.
- Valid state electrician trainee certification.
Physical Demands
Regular communication, walking, standing, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance. Requires visual and hearing acuity to identify hazards and read small parts and signage.

Work Environment
Exposed to inclement weather, temperature extremes, noise, vibrations, chemicals, and confined spaces. May be required to work on elevated surfaces, ladders, lifts, and in small enclosed rooms.
