Job Position Title: Head of Finance
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Summary:
The Head of Finance will report directly to the CEO and the investment sponsor and must be both strategic and hands‑on. This key position will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's manufacturing financial future. The Head of Finance will provide financial leadership and insight to guide the company's growth and operational efficiency while focusing on the unique financial challenges and opportunities within a manufacturing and assembly environment.
The Head of Finance will work to build and streamline accounting and financial processes, optimize cost structures, and lead initiatives to enhance profitability. With a keen focus on data‑driven decision‑making, this leader will also improve financial transparency and performance metrics to empower stakeholder decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business goals and growth initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive insights and recommendations to the CEO, leadership team, and board through financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, or partnerships to drive strategic growth.
- Develop pricing models and perform product‑level profitability analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes, including annual budgets, cash flow management, and performance tracking.
- Manage cash as a top priority by overseeing daily and weekly cash flow, maintaining a precise 13‑week cash forecast, and ensuring strong liquidity management, timely vendor payments, and covenant compliance.
- Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Responsible for overseeing a timely month‑end close and detailed accuracy in accounting processes and reconciliations.
- Leverage manufacturing or assembly industry experience to improve cost accounting practices and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to analyze costs, streamline processes, and optimize profitability.
- Monitor inventory management and costing systems, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Work cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and production teams to support company initiatives.
- Directly manage a team of 2–3 Finance and accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
- Mentor and develop team members to grow their skills and align with company goals.
- Build foundational finance infrastructure, processes, and reporting where gaps currently exist.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA or CMA or MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in a $30M–$70M revenue company.
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with knowledge of cost accounting principles.
- Experience implementing and optimizing ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
- Proven track record of leading and supporting company growth.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Hands‑on: comfortable diving into details and developing processes.
- Proven ability to manage liquidity, debt compliance, and lender reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with both internal teams and PE stakeholders.
