Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is 22.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies & finished goods
  • Load and unload trailers as required
  • Pick and pull stock for delivery
  • Organize pallet area in the backyard on regular basis
  • Organize material storage location in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis
  • Complete forklift inspection on a daily basis
  • Primary owner for recycling duties for assigned area
  • Ability to work overtime with little to no notice as necessary for customer requirements
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Reno, NV (50 miles) will be considered for this position

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift
  • Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice
