Dispatch Specialist

Description:

Family owned and operated Square 1 Solutions has a rare career opportunity to join their team as a Dispatch & Recruiting Specialist in a busy staffing office. You will be taught the ins and outs of recruiting by the best in the industry! Our management team has been operating staffing operations in Reno since 2004 and has a combined 30 years of experience in candidate assessment and placement. You'll learn the tips and tricks of recruiting candidates from the owners and their expert recruiting team.


You will work as a team to attract, interview, assess, and place prospective employees for a variety of jobs ranging from temporary, daily labor assignments to full-time positions at a variety of different companies. You will be placing employees for construction jobs, janitorial jobs, and a wide range of other general labor positions. You'll also have the opportunity to place candidates in full-time jobs in the warehouse, manufacturing and office/administrative industries. You will be responsible for hosting interviews, orienting new employees, coordinating with our customers, data entry, payroll processing, phone call management, and servicing in-person job seekers. Schedule

6:15am-5:00pm Monday-Friday with 2-3 hour lunch daily, overtime as necessary including occasional weekend work.


Duties

  • Accepting and reviewing applications, pre screening, interviewing and identifying candidates for temporary and full-time employment opportunities.
  • Understand and clearly explain all details of various open work opportunities, client expectations and requirements and be able to relay details on job duties to employees and give clear directions to job sites
  • Utilize investigative skills, good judgement, and intuition to determine the best scenario that will promote the likelihood of candidate success.
  • Orchestrate candidate selection, dispatch and payroll processing for a wide range of daily work opportunities
  • Coaching, counseling and mentoring employees on job performance and reliability and reprimanding or terminating employees as necessary
  • Work with our customers to satisfy their contingent workforce needs as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Provide polite, professional, and timely service to all clients and job seekers in person, via email, and through a high volume of phone calls.
  • Build relationships and rapport with co-workers, clients, job seekers and employees.
  • Process paperwork and enter data into our software program, organization, filing, and scanning of paper and electronic files.
  • Review and accept a wide range of government forms and assess identification documents for the I-9 form and process E-Verify cases.
  • Identify opportunities for new candidate recruitment and/or retention of employees.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure all daily duties and orders are satisfied
  • Multi-line phone answering, transferring calls and message notation
  • Take detailed notes on each employees job performance and reliability
  • Working within our proprietary system to enter employees personal information, tax information, client information and details of jobs and clients
  • Planning each day and carefully utilizing our available workforce to meet client's needs
  • Perform customer site visits to “check-in” groups of employees
  • Perform reconciliation of timecards and other paperwork


Requirements

  • Consistent reliability to report for work on time
  • Fluently bilingual (English & Spanish) (read & write)
  • Professional and friendly communication in person, over the phone, and via email / text messages
  • Attention to detail & accuracy with paperwork including personal information and payroll
  • A positive and helpful, team-focused attitude
  • Adaptability to our ever-changing work force and client demands
  • Excellent written and verbal customer service skills
  • Proficient in computer and software technology including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Calm, professional and positive demeanor, especially in times of stress and deadlines
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Excellent judge of personal character to make good staffing decisions regarding candidates
  • Ability to have difficult conversations with employees and customers regarding employment
  • Kindness and empathy but also the ability to give “tough love” to employees


Benefits & Compensation

  • Starting wage of between $22-$30/hour + Annual Bonus (once eligible)
