Machine Operator II - 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II - 2nd shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:45pm to 11:15pm. The rate for this position is $22.00 plus $.50 Shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What You'll Do:

  • Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses
  • Troubleshoot various machinery problems
  • Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders
  • QC and document all parts run on machines
  • Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system
  • Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
  • Keep work areas clean and safe
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Reno, NV (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Six (6) months + of experience with forming or bending machines
  • Six (6) months + of experience reading drawings or blueprints
  • Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Skills:

Position Criteria:

  • Able to operate machinery and presses safely
  • Able to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
  • Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material
  • Able to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
  • Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision

Additional Information:

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
  • Able to lift and bend on a continuous basis
  • Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
  • Working Conditions:

    • Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open
    • Fast paced working, while maintaining safety priorities
