What to Expect

The Maintenance Support Technician will report directly to the Mx projects Supervisor, Technician will have responsibility for the performance of tasks associated with all Facilities Maintenance support, cleaning, collection, and safe/compliant handling of hazardous waste materials generated by our GFNV facility.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, self-driven and works well with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must also take pride in their analytical abilities, operational mindset, organization skills and attention to detail. • The ideal candidate has experience in performing general and emergency maintenance of facilities equipment as well as knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing and process systems operation and maintenance
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities systems including required calibrations as scheduled
• Perform Cleaning, collection and consolidation of hazardous waste containers generated by Facilties equipment
• Perform and support all maintenance cleaning jobs, example: Sump, Trench, list stations etc.
• Work closely with hazardous waste, Prepare loads/barrels for hazardous waste pick for disposal. Ensure hazardous waste containers are properly labeled
• Ensure hazardous waste containers are disposed of within the allotted time. Provide on-call coverage due to time off, training, weekend work, etc.
• Ensure compliance with all Tesla requirements for managing hazardous waste. Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks utilizing material handling equipment. Collaborate with third-party vendors providing site service & support

• 3+ years of experience in high-tech or manufacturing operations; HAZWOPER and RCRA generator training are a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, interface with cross-functional teams, and proficiently use Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Valid driver's license may be required, with the ability to operate mobile equipment like forklifts and carts
• Extensive safety training; capable of assessing tasks, developing procedures, and ensuring worker safety
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, positive attitude, and strong work ethics aligned with company goals
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk for 8 hours, wear respirators, lift up to 20 lbs., perform repetitive motions, twist, and bend
• Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in loud environments, and follow safety procedures
