Security Guard - Mall Patrol Team

As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Team in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while on duty.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.

+ Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

+ Assist customers, employees, and/or visitors by providing directions, answering questions, and offering general support as needed while maintaining a visible presence.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency response teams when required by site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Certified Protection Officer certification is required.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
