KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role focuses on creating a secure environment by preventing theft and fraud while ensuring the safety of both staff and customers. You'll be visible at entrances and exits, greeting customers warmly and monitoring adherence to our theft prevention policies. Your proactive approach on the sales floor will help identify potential theft indicators in collaboration with store leadership.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Maintaining a safe shopping and working atmosphere for all by addressing safety issues and keeping pathways clear.
  • Providing exemplary customer service by greeting visitors, responding to questions with a friendly demeanor, and fostering a respectful environment.
  • Monitoring store areas for suspicious activities and reporting them promptly to store management.
  • Educating colleagues on loss prevention initiatives and best practices to minimize operational shortages.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an AA degree is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience in retail supervision or training preferred.
  • 1+ years in loss prevention or security training preferred.
  • Active Security Guard License is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong communication skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and a commitment to customer service.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Availability for consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to spend significant time standing and moving throughout the store.
  • Capability to lift objects over 25 lbs and perform bending or stooping as needed.
