The Student Health Center at the University of Nevada, Reno seeks candidates for current and future openings for Administrative Assistant 2s to work in the Front Office of the Student Health Center. While these positions do not provide layoff rights and are contingent on funding, the experience gained and the benefits provided make it a rewarding opportunity.The Administrative Assistant 2 is typically the first person patients come into contact with and will assist with investigating and resolving concerns, checking patients in for appointments, problem-solving questions, and relaying information regarding clinic policies and practices. The Administrative Assistant 2 schedules appointments including doctor appointments and procedures and tests in coordination with patient availability. This position also updates patient demographic data to ensure the accuracy of office records. This position is responsible for collecting fees, co-pays, past due charges, and prepares the daily financial deposit.The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently, a commitment to confidentiality, and strong decision-making abilities.
