Fabrication Technician III

The Fabrication Technician III is expected to utilize AWS standards and practices in the fabrication and assembly of metal components for customers. Welders work in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-moving manufacturing environment where safety and quality are of the highest priority.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize AWS standards and practices in the fabrication and assembly of metal components.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards in all welding and fabrication tasks.
• Read and accurately execute fabrication designs and schematics.
• Calculate measurements using basic math functions and tools.
• Operate and maintain fabrication and machining equipment such as mills, lathes, and drill presses.

Essential Skills:

• Advanced ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient use of measurement tools like tape measures and calipers.
• Strong understanding of welding symbols.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with production, fabrication, and welding techniques.
• Familiarity with using hand and power tools.
• Experience with machine operation and blueprint reading.
• Management and supervisory skills are a plus.

Work Environment:

This position is in a manufacturing environment with intermittent noise and requires standing for long periods. You will work in a warehouse-type space exposed to noise and dust in varying climates. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing steel-toed shoes. Good hand-eye coordination and normal vision and hearing are essential.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Sparks, NV.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
