Janitor - 2nd Shift (Part-Time)
Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Janitor - 2nd Shift (Part-Time) at our Reno, NV facility. The core hours are 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $19.82 per hour.

What You'll Do:
The Janitor is responsible for general cleaning tasks throughout the facility and maintenance of cleaning supplies inventory levels.
In this function, you will:
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of the facility including cafeterias, break areas, bathrooms, and hallways, etc.
- Clean, sanitize, and refill inventory for all plant restrooms.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in break areas, cafeterias, bathrooms, hallways, offices & etc.
- Operate cleaning systems and equipment as trained and specified (i.e. vacuums, floor scrubbers, etc.)
- Help organize and maintain closets and storage areas.
- Prepare all cleaning solutions required for the sanitation of the facility.
- Properly track the use of all chemical cleaning agents, paints, and supplies that are removed from plant inventory.
- Responsible to accurately communicate utilization of cleaning supplies and request issuance of those consumed items via the plant established procedure.
- Maintain recycle bins and trash and periodic deep cleaning of office areas, break rooms, and other areas as assigned.
- Exterior cleaning to include along building, windows, grounds & parking lot in all weather conditions.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Performs other janitorial duties as required.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
- No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of six (6) months of previous facilities/janitorial experience

- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to work with limited or no supervision
- Adhere to all government regulations and corporate safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Candidates must be able to read and write in English
Physical Demands:
- Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift: kneeling, bending, and climbing required.
- Able to work at heights of up to 40 feet above the floor.
- Able to regularly lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and procedure.
- Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
- Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
- Indoor and outdoor exposure to weather.
- Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
