What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances and exits, stockroom corridors, and the surrounding perimeter as assigned.
+ Monitor customer and employee activity for suspicious behavior and/or policy violations, and help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disorderly conduct through presence and professional interaction.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, fire alarms, and/or other urgent situations.
+ Control access as assigned by checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and assist with crowd flow and queue management during busy store periods.
+ Operate and observe security-related systems when available, including video monitoring, alarm panels, and two-way radios, and report any malfunctions.
+ Document routine activity and incident details in written reports, including accurate times, locations, actions taken, and notifications made.
+ Communicate with on-site management, Allied Universal leadership, and/or responding public services as needed, following site instructions and escalation procedures.
+ Support opening and closing procedures as assigned, including walking the building, checking exterior conditions, and verifying key areas are secured per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Customer Service Experience - preferred.
+ Guard Card/License - preferred.
+ Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
