Service Technician - Recreational Vehicles

Description:

Join the Camping World team as a Service Technician (Flat-Rate) and utilize your advanced diagnostic and repair skills to work with Recreational Vehicle (RV) systems, generators, and coach body repairs. If you have a passion for solving mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance challenges, we want to hear from you! We value attention to detail and self-motivation in our successful technicians and are willing to provide certification for those who might need it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic tests and provide detailed documentation of repair or replacement services for customers.
  • Perform maintenance on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.
  • Maintain accurate records of all parts and materials used during repairs.
  • Communicate work progress to your supervisor consistently.
  • Ensure the final work product adheres to quality standards and undergoes inspection by a supervisor or designated individual.
  • Keep your work area safe and organized for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • A certification from a college or technical school in a relevant trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is beneficial; however, applicable work experience will also be considered.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a service technician or in a related field is preferred.
  • RVIA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to work at heights and handle hazards related to electrical and welding equipment.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, and wetness.
  • Physical stamina to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs using assistive devices.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.

Compensation Overview:

The pay range for this role is $22.00 - $40.00 hourly, based on factors like skills, experience, and certifications.
