Position Overview:
This role is situated within American Road Services Company, the insurance claims division of Ford Motor Credit Company, and is essential for supporting our dealer network and operational success.
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Catastrophe Claims Adjuster and Field Service Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a field-intensive position that involves representing Ford Motor Company across various sectors including dealerships, assembly plants, and distribution centers.
As a Catastrophe Claims Adjuster & Field Service Manager, you will be tasked with managing intricate physical damage claims while responding to unexpected catastrophic events—anticipating significant travel commitments.
Your Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage complex insurance claims within a designated area, scheduling vehicle inspections while traveling extensively throughout your territory.
Conduct in-depth coverage investigations, analyzing incidents of fire, theft, and false pretense for floor-planned units.
Utilize computerized estimating systems (e.g., Mitchell Connect) to accurately prepare damage estimates and determine repair costs.
Lead investigations related to subrogation, salvage disposal, and fraudulent claims.
Implement loss prevention assessments and engage in dealer training activities.
Be prepared to remain on-call for catastrophic losses, with travel demands that may reach 50-70%, particularly during storm season from March to August.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of two years of experience in claims adjusting and estimating.
At least one year of proficiency with computerized estimating systems (e.g., Mitchell Connect or CCC One) along with a strong understanding of vehicle repair processes.
One year of experience using Microsoft Office and possessing advanced computer skills.
Active Adjuster license in your home state or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days.
Willingness to travel overnight 50-70% of the time, including extended trips during catastrophic events.
