Job Summary
This role is responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance with Company policies and practices related to all areas of Loss Prevention and Safety, including but not limited to physical security, inventory control, investigations, and safety programs, as well as overseeing onsite security guard services.

Salary Range: $55,000-$65,00 annually (+ $5,000 shift differential)
What You Do
• Implement basic physical security guidelines within the assigned facility
• Demonstrate expert knowledge and proficiency in the execution and support of environmental health and safety requirements
• Utilize and monitor CCTV camera system to identify, investigate, and resolve incidents of theft; maintain physical security, and guide and drive the Company safety program
• Monitor all physical security controls for the assigned facility, including, but not limited to, key/core control, card access systems, and alarm systems
• Maintain EAS and ensure security personnel are properly trained
• Oversee 3rd party security guard services to ensure staff are deployed effectively, scheduled efficiently, and perform assigned job functions
• Implement safety programs to minimize employee accidents and incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
• Review accidents and incidents, conduct investigations, and provide follow-up reporting as well as monitor execution of corrective actions
• Conduct regular audits related to all operational and safety practices and procedures
• Champion safety practices and programs to strengthen cultural awareness among the entire Distribution Center workforce through meetings, regular communications, and Bookseller training
• Support Internal Audit and Inventory Control/Logistics by auditing unit accuracy and shortage trends to ensure accuracy of store deliveries
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) reports to identify theft, inventory errors, or discrepancies
• Communicate shipping errors regularly to the Distribution Team and Corporate Loss Prevention
• Problem-solve and correct loss prevention issues as they occur
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with local law enforcement, fire authorities, and city personnel to remain updated on crime trends and emergency preparedness procedures
• Perform special projects and other work assignments as directed by the Director of Loss Prevention & Safety
Knowledge & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• 3 years of practical Loss Prevention experience in a distribution center environment or 5 years of practical Loss Prevention experience in a related industry/field
Position Requirements:
• Proven leadership navigating in a multi-level team environment
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Proven ability to work with minimal direct supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time
• Practical experience working with CCTV, alarm, and access control systems
