Job Title: Steel Recycling Metal Sorter & Yard Worker
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Looking for a hands-on role in a thriving industry? Join a local steel recycling company dedicated to environmental sustainability through the collection, processing, and trading of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals. As a Steel Recycling Metal Sorter & Yard Worker in Eugene, OR, you'll be part of a team making a positive impact every day.
As a Steel Recycling Metal Sorter & Yard Worker, you'll:
- Efficiently sort and clean ferrous and nonferrous metals to ensure proper recycling procedures.
- Organize and manage materials in the scrap yard, maintaining an orderly operation.
- Perform groundwork, cleanup, and yard maintenance to uphold safety standards.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
- Contribute to a safe, productive, and environmentally responsible work environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting.
- Reliability and safety consciousness.
- Enjoy flexible hours within a supportive team environment that values collaboration.
