Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Pay: $18.06/hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Start Date: ASAP
Looking for a hands-on role in a stable environment where you can make a difference? Join the University of Oregon's Campus Planning and Facilities Management team as a Sanitation Worker in Eugene, OR, and contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming campus every day. As a Sanitation Worker, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of campus facilities, supporting the health and comfort of students, staff, and visitors. You'll work closely with the facilities team to ensure the campus remains an inviting space for all.
What You'll Do:
As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Performing industrial sanitation, including carpet and hard floor cleaning using machines, floor scrubbers, and steamers to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained.
- Conducting basic cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and removing smudges from windows and doors throughout campus facilities.
- Sanitizing and restocking restrooms and common areas to uphold health and safety standards.
- Emptying trash bins and removing rubbish from the premises to maintain cleanliness and prevent clutter.
- Assisting with general cleaning protocols to promote a hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Prior experience in cleaning, sanitation, or custodial work preferred.
- Ability to stand on your feet for 8+ hours a day comfortably.
- Physical capacity to bend, stoop, twist, squat, and crouch throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
