Part-Time Donor Center Technician

This is what you'll do:

  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including FDA approved procedures, to uphold the highest production standards.
  • Customer Service: Support a positive donor experience, embodying our company values and culture.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the work area clean and stocked to meet production needs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Follow Standard Operating Procedures to maintain donor center equipment.
  • Donor Monitoring: Monitor donor conditions to ensure their comfort, safety, and the quality of plasma.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform quality checks on equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Clean up spills and handle biohazard waste following proper procedures.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete other job-related duties as assigned.

Donor Eligibility:

  • Assess donor eligibility based on established criteria.
  • Perform vital evaluations as required.
  • Execute finger sticks for testing.
  • Register new donors in compliance with procedures.

Plasma Collection:

  • Prepare equipment for plasmapheresis procedures.
  • Assist with donor disconnection post-procedure.
  • Ensure safe plasma collection while monitoring donor safety.
  • Respond to machine alerts and document any exceptions.

Product Processing:

  • Collect and store plasma samples in a sterile manner.
  • Manage tested and untested products as needed.
  • Organize storage and shipments following federal regulations.
  • Monitor temperatures of storage equipment and report any issues.

Job Specifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred three (3) months' experience in clerical or customer service roles.
  • Certification based on state requirements may be needed.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills essential.
  • Ability to follow and interpret regulations and instructions is necessary.

Scheduling:

  • Flexibility to work day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Attendance and punctuality are required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Use appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Capacity to work in cold environments and manage tasks requiring fine motor skills.
