Job title: Material Planner
Location: Reno, NV 89506 (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay rate: $30.00-$32.00 per hour without benefits

Job Responsibility:

• Plans and requisitions materials of greater complexity and financial impact within certain product lines and/or commodities.
• Plans ordering parameters based on achieving multiple objectives.
• Adheres to ordering parameters, insuring objectives are achieved and/or modified to improve on objectives.
• Initiates reschedule as result of changes in plans and/or priorities.
• Initiates follow-up of materials to insure availability to production.
• Communicates with suppliers on delivery status.
• Handles routine availability problems and recommends to supervision alternatives on major problems.
• Monitors incoming material through inspection and prioritizes where necessary.
• Monitors material receipts and inventory on period basis.
• Identifies areas adversely impacting plan levels and take corrective action drawing upon supervision and/or management as necessary.
• Monitors flow of material to support production insuring availability is as required.
• Ensures materials are requisitioned to the ordering parameters.
• Coordinates ECO activity, ensuring proper disposition of material and insuring replacement material is available as required.
• Generates commodity forecast to be used in Procurement in establishing of long-term contracts.
• Identifies and disposes of obsolete inventory.

• Two plus years of experience in material planning.
• Prior experience with manufacturing industry.
• Prior experience in communicating with suppliers on delivery status.
• Monitors material receipts and inventory on period basis.
• Initiates reschedule as result of changes in plans and/or priorities.
• Initiates follow-up of materials to insure availability to production.
